As part of HKUST's commitment to marine conservation and sustainable aquaculture practices, the university hosted a special Film Screening and Talk event for local community members and students. This educational outreach program highlighted the critical state of Hong Kong's marine ecosystems, particularly focusing on oyster reefs shellfish habitats that provide essential ecosystem services, including water filtration, habitat provision for fish, and coastal protection.
