On 12 Nov 2022, HKUST students were invited to join a guided tour of the Mai Po Nature Reserve. The objective of this excursion was to deepen the participants' comprehension of wetland conservation, sustainable fisheries management, and biodiversity. Participants had a unique opportunity to explore the rich biodiversity of Hong Kong's wetland habitats firsthand. The tour provided insightful perspectives on the intertwined dynamics of conservation efforts, sustainable utilization of natural resources, and the integration of tourism with the ecosystems. This enriching experience was intended to amplify participants' theoretical knowledge and emphasize the significance of their role in preserving these vital ecosystems for the benefit of future generations.
