At the International Conference on Scientific Computing and Machine Learning (SCML) 2026 in Bath, Prof. Julian Mak and PhD student Lee Ho Ching received a poster prize for their poster, “Goal-oriented adjoint-based optimisation of coastal protection layout.” The award recognised the quality and relevance of their research.
