On 9 November 2024, a group of OCES UG and PG students with some of our faculty members have visited Tap Mun (Grass Isand) for a one-day tour.
The day was filled with enriching experiences, starting with a visit to the Tin Hou Temple. Tin Hou Temple is a Grade I Historical building in Hong Kong with 400-year-old. Our students are amazed by how the temple is well maintained. Local villager has conducted a brief introduction to students about the history of the temple and some traditional practices in the temple. After the visit to Tin Hou Temple, participants have the chance to enjoy a delightful seafood lunch at the local restaurant by the seaside. Following discussions with the local villagers, participants had the chance to visit the shore of Tap Mun and investigated the local ecological environment, for example, identifying Nerium Oleander by the seaside of Tap Mun.
