The Department of Ocean Science (OCES) at HKUST was thrilled to participate in the Family Fun Day x Marine Parks 30th Anniversary Roving Exhibition: In Support of Hong Kong BSAP 2035, held at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum (HKMM) on 30 August 2026.
Sponsored by The Swire Group Charitable Trust and jointly supported by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD), universities, NGOs, and community stakeholders, the event attracted more than 2,700 participants, including families, students, educators, and professionals.
A booth with the theme "Innovating Ocean Education" was set up at the exhibition by OCES Department, showcasing innovative teaching tools and ongoing projects supervised by our faculty member, Prof. Cindy Lam, with the aim of communicating marine science to the public, inspiring curiosity, and encouraging community participation in ocean conservation efforts.
